Ceramic pigments with perovskite-like structure were obtained by Low Temperature Aqueous Synthesis (LTAS); the introduction of possible chromophore elements in the BaTiO3 structure was carried out by two different methods: . wet mixing of the BaTIO3 powder prepared via LTAS with 1at.% of some Lanthanides elements (Er, Tb, Gd, Pr, La), introduced as an aqueous solution of the corresponding nitrates. A further thermal annealing was performed to incorporate the doping ions into the perovskite structure; . addition of different amounts of Co ( 0.3, 3.9 e 12 at.%) and La (0.17, 1.7 e 5.7 at.%) in the precursor aqueous solution; therefore the additive id homogeneously dispersed into the lattice. Structure, morphological properties and colour properties of thermal treated powders were investigated and reported
