Four different provenances of Pinus brutia Ten. were investigated for their possible exploitation with the minimum useless waste. Essential oils, raw proteins, chlorophylls, mineral elements and ascorbic acid were determined in branches and leaves sampled from about 10-20 plants for each population grown in experimental plantation. A mean sample from different populations of Pinus halepensis Mill. and one sample of Pinus eldarica Medw. were also analysed for a complete exploitation of species in the group halepensis. Our results make the integrated utilisation of this raw material for industry very interesting
