The experimental and theoretical work related to the surface properties of some lead free alloy systems, studied in the framework of the COST MPO602 Project will be presented. In particular, the surface tension experimental results, measured in different laboratories will be analysed in view of COST MPO602 book preparation, giving the experimental details that together with wetting characteristics of liquid solder / solid substrate are necessary to address correctly soldering procedures.

Abstract
