YAP camera consists of YAP:Ce multicrystal scintillator coupòed to a Position Sensitive Photomultiplier Tube (PSPMT) Hamamatsu R2486. It is a small field gamma camera with 40 x 40 mm2 of useful field of view and an intrinsic spatial resolution of 0.7 mm FWHM at 140 keV photon energy. The scintillation detector consists of a 66 x 66 crystal array in which each element is a YAP:Ce needle with o.6 mm x o.6 mm of cross section with 10 mm height. The minimum spatial resolution measured with parallel collimators resulted between 1 and 1.6 mm corresponding to collimation hole diameter of 0.5 mm and 1 mm respectively.
