Ceramic samples belonging to the MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 system were prepared from talc, china clay, bentonite and alumina, ground, pressed and finaly sintered at 1280°C/1h. Electric permeability (E), porosity (P) and cordierite content (C) of the samples were determined. Data were processed by mathematical-statistical methods. A fair correlation was found between the variables: E=158.3-6.13p+0.49C.
