This paper deals with the dielectric field strength of five ceramic materials belonging to the MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 system, four of which represent part of the cordierite area of the same system. It has been shown that, besides the sintering temperature, the Al2O3-SiO2 ratio at a constant MgO molar portion has a crucial influence on the investigated properties.
