Sol-gel derived Molybdenum-Tungsten (Mo-W) mixed oxides were investigated by transmission electron microscopy in order to study their structural and morphological properties in dependence on the relative percentage of the constituent compounds. Optical measurements were also performed in the UV-VIS-NIR spectral range. A correlation between the structure of the thin films and their optical properties was carried out.
