A new form of sodium Kurrol salt have been studied by the Rietveld method from powder X-ray diffraction data. Only by using constrained refinement does convergence occurs. A comparison between two distinct models is made and the importance of reducing the number of variables is demonstrated. The two refined cells are reported.
