The. paper addresses an automatic procedure to define the size (Le. displacemen~) of pumps and motors within hydrostatic transmissions for mobile vehicle appl'ications. It is developed for one pump and one motor, but it is easily extended to multiple architectures. The procedure starts from three specifications: the rated engine power, the output power ratio, and the choice of a fixed or variable displacement motor. Numerical results are given over a practical range of input data, and additional constraints are discussed which come from the vehicle locomotion.

Abstract
The. paper addresses an automatic procedure to define the size (Le. displacemen~) of pumps and motors within hydrostatic transmissions for mobile vehicle appl'ications. It is developed for one pump and one motor, but it is easily extended to multiple architectures. The procedure starts from three specifications: the rated engine power, the output power ratio, and the choice of a fixed or variable displacement motor. Numerical results are given over a practical range of input data, and additional constraints are discussed which come from the vehicle locomotion.File in questo prodotto:
