A vapor-solid reaction performed in a two-temperature zones reactor operated at low pressure is demonstrated successfully to prepare Hg-1201 material of good superconducting properties as shown by the temperature dependence of resistivity and ZFC susceptibility. To investigate further the connectivity of the material, we performed high sensitivity magnetization measurements at very low magnetic fields and temperature. A hysteretic behavior is observed due to an intergranular critical state regime. (C) 1996 American Institute of Physics.

Abstract
A vapor-solid reaction performed in a two-temperature zones reactor operated at low pressure is demonstrated successfully to prepare Hg-1201 material of good superconducting properties as shown by the temperature dependence of resistivity and ZFC susceptibility. To investigate further the connectivity of the material, we performed high sensitivity magnetization measurements at very low magnetic fields and temperature. A hysteretic behavior is observed due to an intergranular critical state regime. (C) 1996 American Institute of Physics.File in questo prodotto:
