In this paper, an experiment is presented to study a possible power handling enhancement of magnetostatic forward volume wave straight edge resonators. Theoretically, the power range for a linear response of the resonator is expected to be increased by inclining the sample with respect to the dc magnetic bias field direction, and a critical angle can be predicted for suppressing non-linear effects. Actually, it is demonstrated that a compromise has to be reached between the increase in the power handling and the observed decrease in the resonator quality factor.

Abstract
In this paper, an experiment is presented to study a possible power handling enhancement of magnetostatic forward volume wave straight edge resonators. Theoretically, the power range for a linear response of the resonator is expected to be increased by inclining the sample with respect to the dc magnetic bias field direction, and a critical angle can be predicted for suppressing non-linear effects. Actually, it is demonstrated that a compromise has to be reached between the increase in the power handling and the observed decrease in the resonator quality factor.File in questo prodotto:
