An account is given of our exploratory work on metallometalation of unsaturated systems, which relies on: a ) Regio- and stereoselective silyl- and stannyl-cupration of N-containing unsaturated molecules such aspropargylamines, ynamines, and isocyarzates; b) Silyl- and stannyl-cupration of u,p- unsaturated acylsilanes. The generation and synthetic utility of the nucleophilic polysynthons related to dimetallic adducts, are highlighted and preliminary results on the application of this methodology in chemo-, regio- and stereoselective reactions is presented
