The design of roll-over protective structures (ROPS) test machine data acquisition system with digital gaging was analyzed. The design included, a fully digital acquisition and elaboration system, based on the presence of A/D converters embedded in the pre-amplification stage of transducers. All A/D modules were mounted directly inside the preamplifier boxes already installed on the machine frame. The result obtained is a system with a greatly enhanced reliability and flexibility, using modular and redundant modules.
