We have built a system for collecting, accumulating, and computing data from optical-type measurements, by coupling a commercial desk computer (TEXAS TI59 with PRINTER PC 100 C) to the experimental apparatus through a simple, but effective, interface. Our purpose is to use the full computing capability of a microcomputer such as TI59 on line with the experimental apparatus.
