Cadusafos was tested under glasshouse against an Italian population of Meloidogyne incognita race 1 on tomato cv. Roma VF. Five dosages (2.26, 3.39, 4.52, 5.65 and 9.04 mg or ml/500 cm3 soil) of both the granular and liquid formulation, were compared with untreated soil and fenamiphos. Cadusafos suppressed M. incognita population at all the tested dosages, but showed some phytotoxicity at the highest application rate. Dosages and final nematode populations were related by the generic equation y=mx^(-b).
