Abstract

This paper briefly describes the analytical procedure set up to measure carbon monoxide concentration in gas mixtures fron geothermal systems and the state of the art of some practical applications of theoretically determined gas-geothermometers. Different models were applied to the gases, using carbon monoxide concentration as the main tool. The analitycal procedure and models were tested in selected thermal areas with quite different thermodynamic conditions in the reservoir.
