Response of lines of tobacco Bright to Meloidogyne incognita. Line of "flue-cured" of Bright tobacco were evaluated for their reaction to Meloidogyne incognita in a sandy soil naturally infested by the parasite. None of the tested lines was immune to nematode attack. Final soil population densities of the nematode and total dry weight of the leaves were negatively correlated for all the lines, with r values ranging between -0.83 and -0.99.
E' stata condotta una prova sperimentale in un campo naturalmente infestato da Meloidogyne incognita, per valutare le risposte quanti-qualitative di alcune linee di tabacco "flue-cured" Bright. Nessuna delle linee saggiate è risultata immune dall'infestazione del parassita. Una correlazione negativa tra la densità di popolazione del nematode nel terreno a fine ciclo e il peso secco fogliare è riscontrata per tutte le linee, con valori di r variabili da -0,83 a - 0,99.
