This technical report deals with the develpmento of computer codes to solve the Navier-Stokes equation. Starting from the basic features of the finite difference finite schemes, the "fractional step method" is treated by facing the problem of boundary conditions, the occurrence of obstacles in the flow field, the presence of a free boundary. The VOF approach is described and adopted as the interface tracking method. Several standard test-cases are implemented and presented.
