Abstract
The formation of the Yb/InP(110) interface is studied by synchrotron radiation electron spectroscopy. Chemical reactions at the interface lead to the formation of an intermixed region of ternary composition. At increasing coverages two distinct intermetallic phases grow out of the mixed region: islands of a Yb?P phase and a layer of metallic Yb?In alloy.File in questo prodotto:
