We report on the frequency stabilization of extended-cavity diode lasers against rotovibrational absorption lines of water vapor at around 0.94 mu m, by means of the frequency modulation spectroscopy technique. A minimum frequency instability of similar to 30 kHz has been obtained for integration times in the range from 1 to 100 s.
