Informatica umanistica: appunti e riflessioni sullo stato dell'arte e nuove prospettive

The essay explores the different evolutionary phases of the admixture of fields belonging to each other seemingly distant disciplines such as Computer Science and the Humanities. By their commingling comes, already over forty, Humanities Computing that evolves over time with steps in the seventies and in 2004. It examines the major academic experiences suggesting an evolutionary breakdown of discipline and tracing the characteristics for each stage of them. It describes the research project for the PhD carried out by the writer.

Il saggio propone un'analisi delle diverse fasi evolutive della commistione tra discipline appartenenti ad ambiti disciplinari apparentemente distanti fra loro quali l'Informatica e le discipline Umanistiche. Dalla loro commistione nasce l'Informatica umanistica già negli quaranta che si evolve nel corso del tempo con tappe negli anni settanta e nel 2004. Si esaminano le maggiori esperienze accademiche proponendo una suddivisione evolutiva della disciplina e tracciando le caratteristiche per ognuna di esse. Si descrive il progetto di ricerca presentato per il Dottorato di ricerca portato avanti da chi scrive.
