Abstract

The current trend in Health Information Systems is federating existing systems so to have national or transnational infrastructures for sharing medical data. Such a vision exhibits challenging issues in terms of interoperability. This paper presents an architecture for federating Health Information Systems, and its concrete implementation. Last, the quality of this implementation is assessed by measuring the time needed to find a given document within the federation, and to retrieve it.
