The present work deals with a Mossbauer investigation on several samples of iron vanadate, pure and Er substituted, used as catalysts supported on TiO2-WO3-SiO2 in the SCR of NOx. The investigation has showed that the thermal treatment on the catalytic system promotes the formation of hematite. Increasing further the temperature the interaction between catalyst and support causes the collapse of the vanadate and subsequent formation of FeW2O6.
