Abstract
Many heuristic optimisation techniques have been proposed during last years in literature with the aim to eectively solve wide sets of dierent problems Therefore the need rises for suitable test functions able to tell which techniques are more suitable than others for a given set of problems As regards the structural design in aeroplanes ships cars and other transport means a continuous multivariable constrained function the so called bump function has been proposed to ascertain the eectiveness of the existing optimisation techniques We wish in this paper to solve this function by means of the Breeder Genetic Algorithms and to compare their results against those obtained by other classical heuristic techniquesI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
