We studied the polaronic contribution to the optical conductivity of three (Ca, Sr, Nd)CuO2 "infinite layer" compounds. In the most conducting film the binding energy and the product of the mass and the radius of the polaron are lower than in the more insulating samples, consistently with the metallization process. Abstract
