This work evaluates the influence of the heterogeneous boron distribution on the Treatment Planning System (TPS), which is the main goal of a new PET-based TPS, named BDTPS (Boron Distribution Treatment Planning System) [1]. To achieve this goal, a phantom has been designed, constructed, CT and PET scanned. The data acquired so far constitutes the basis for a computational and experimental validation of BDTPS.
