A technical feasibility study to perform low environmental impact processes, for disposal of solid residues (plaster-cast) generated from the goldsmith's firms, has been carried out. Main components of the samples studied were calcium sulfate and silica, while average of gold content was in the range between 0.7 and 5.1 g/t Au. Alternative technology transferable to small and medium enterprises has been proposed, for residues disposal and precious metals recovery.
