This project aimed to evaluate the support to Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) provided by Technology-Enhanced Learning Environments (TELEs). SRL is a cross-curricular competence which supports life-long learning by helping people become independent learners and by favouring the transfer of learning strategies and problem solving methods across different learning situations. TELEs are currently the most diffused way to exploit ICT in education. Having at disposal TELEs structured and implemented so as to support SRL, therefore, results extremely beneficial: not only does it cater for most effective learning environments, but it can also improve the learning abilities of students and hence prepare them to successfully cope with life-long learning. To this end, the effort of the TELEPEERS project concentrated on identifying TELE's features on which SRL support appears to depend. This aim was achieved by working out the following products: 1)TELE-SRL, a questionnaire calling teachers' attention on features of TELEs that support SRL. It is suitable to be used by a teacher or mentor either before carrying out some activity with a TELE, in order to help planning for SRL-supporting activities, or after it, in order to evaluate its possible impact. This questionnaire constitutes the summary of the evaluation approach developed in the project 2)TELESTUDENTS-SRL, a questionnaire to be assigned to students after carrying out a learning activity with a TELE, in order to check their perception of the SRL-supporting features. 3)A wide set of case-studies with TELEs of the most diverse types, carried out by applying the above questionnaires. From the results these case-studies a number of best practices were selected and collected in three reports, to provide examples and guidelines for the evaluation approach developed. 4)The TArgeted COoperative NEtwork (TACONET), an international forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences of individuals and institutions from academia, business and communities of practice who are interested in TELEs that support Self-Regulated Learning. Taconet, which is continuing its activity after the end of the project, is open for free to all interested parties. Il progetto TELEPEERS aveva lo scopo di valutare il supporto all'autoregolazione dell'apprendimento (SRL) fornito dagli ambienti di apprendimento basati sula tecnologia (TELE). SRL è una competenza cross-curriculare che supporta il life-long-learning aiutando le persone a diventare capaci i apprendere in modo autonomo e favorendo l'applicazione di strategie e metodologie in campi di studio diversi. I TELE costituiscono attualmente uno dei modi più diffusi di sfruttare le ICT in campo educativo. Disporre di TELE strutturati e costruiti in modo da favorire la pratica di SRL può quindi risultare molto vantaggioso: non solo rende gli ambienti di apprendimento più efficaci, ma contribuisce anche a preparare gli studenti ad affrontare con successo esperienze di apprendimento autonomo. Sulla base di queste considerazioni, il progetto TELEPEERS ha indirizzato la sua attivtà ad individuare quali caratteristiche dei TELE influiscono positivamente ulla pratica di SRL. Questo obiettivo è stato raggiunto attraverso la realizzazione di diversi prodotti: 1)TELE-SRL, un questionario indirizzato agli insegnanti che intendono far praticare SRL ai loro studenti durante l'utilizzo di un TELE. Può essere usato prima dell'esperienza, per migliorare la progettazione dell'attività, o a posteriori, per valuarne gli effetti. 2)TELESTUDENTS-SRL, un questionario per gli studenti che svolgono attività in un TELE, per avere informazioni sulla loro percezione degli aspetti dell'ambiente che dovrebbero supportare SRL. 3)Una vasta collezione di case-studies, sviluppati applicando i due questionari, su TELE dei più svariati tipi. Fra questi case-studies sono stati selezionati, e raccolti in tre rapporti, quelli che apparivano particolarmente significativi da proporre come esempi. 4)TACONET (TArgeted COoperative NEtwork), un forum internazionale per lo scambio di idee ed esperienze di individui ed istituzioni di ogni tipo, che siano interessati allo sviluppo di SRL mediante l'utilizzo di TELE. Taconet, che sta continuando la sua attività dopo la fine del progetto, è gratuita ed aperta a tutte le persone interessate.
