Mo-doped PbWO4 shows an intense emission band round 500 nm ascribed to MoO4 complex anion centre. However, slow energy transfer from PWO matrix to these centres prevents efficient use of such material for scintillator application. We have shown that Y-codoping result in speeding-up these energy transfer processes and faster scintillation response is achieved in PWO:Mo,Y system [1]. Correlated measurements of PL,RL and TSL, PL and scintillation decays will be presented for PWO:Mo,Y sample group in a wide range of Mo concentration (200-50 000 ppm/melt) and the effect of Y codoping will be discussed.

Abstract
Mo-doped PbWO4 shows an intense emission band round 500 nm ascribed to MoO4 complex anion centre. However, slow energy transfer from PWO matrix to these centres prevents efficient use of such material for scintillator application. We have shown that Y-codoping result in speeding-up these energy transfer processes and faster scintillation response is achieved in PWO:Mo,Y system [1]. Correlated measurements of PL,RL and TSL, PL and scintillation decays will be presented for PWO:Mo,Y sample group in a wide range of Mo concentration (200-50 000 ppm/melt) and the effect of Y codoping will be discussed.File in questo prodotto:
