The paper aims to highlight how biometrics is correlated to the appropriate modelling of some parts of the human body. Starting from a general discussion on the progressive evolution of the "identity" concept, the Author put in evidence the difficulties correlated to the human nature of a model which changes with the time and, at the same time, may be strongly influenced by the some external conditions.
