This paper describes the studies performed to identify a suitable design solution for the power supply of the residual ion dump for Neutral Beam Injectors (NBI) of ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) [1]. A novel approach has been proposed based on the series of two power supplies, one to produce the average output voltage and one devoted to the generation of the required ac component. The paper is focused in particular on the schematic circuit adopted to generate the alternating component that is meant to use floating capacitors to produce a trapezoidal voltage component superimposed to the dc one.

Abstract
This paper describes the studies performed to identify a suitable design solution for the power supply of the residual ion dump for Neutral Beam Injectors (NBI) of ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) [1]. A novel approach has been proposed based on the series of two power supplies, one to produce the average output voltage and one devoted to the generation of the required ac component. The paper is focused in particular on the schematic circuit adopted to generate the alternating component that is meant to use floating capacitors to produce a trapezoidal voltage component superimposed to the dc one.File in questo prodotto:
