Staphylococcus aureus is a well known agent for its causative role in food poisoning outbreaks associated with several food including milk and dairy products. S. aureus is also the most important agent responsible for bovine mastitis and other different diseases in animals and humans. The objective of this study was to characterize S. aureus recovered from different food matrices through phenotypic and genotypic methods.
