Abstract
The activity and abundance of microbial (eukaryotic phytoplankton and prokaryotic) community inhabiting the waters of the Manfredonia Gulf were studied to determine the possible effects played by the thermoaline gradient. Both the enzymatic hydrolysis and heterotrophic production processes showed the presence of three areas (coastal, off-shore, and transition) with different characteristics.File in questo prodotto:
