The present study is focused on the adsorption of laminin 1 and laminin 5 onto Zirconia Toughened Alumina (ZTA, 16wt% in zirconia) and Alumina Toughened Zirconia (ATZ, 80% of Zirconia). The functionalized surfaces were studied via AFM and XPS with the aim to assess the kinf of interaction. Moreover, the response of epithelial cells towards the oxidic materials after laminin adsorption was also evaluated.
