High pressure chemical reactions of molecular systems are discussed considering the various factors thatcan affect the reactivity. These include steric hindrance and geometrical constraints in the confined envi-ronment of crystals at high pressure, changes of the free energy landscape with pressure, photoactivationby two-photon absorption, local and collective effects. A classification of the chemical reactions at highpressure is attempted on the basis of the prevailing factors.

Abstract
High pressure chemical reactions of molecular systems are discussed considering the various factors thatcan affect the reactivity. These include steric hindrance and geometrical constraints in the confined envi-ronment of crystals at high pressure, changes of the free energy landscape with pressure, photoactivationby two-photon absorption, local and collective effects. A classification of the chemical reactions at highpressure is attempted on the basis of the prevailing factors.File in questo prodotto:
