The filtration activity of the dinoflagellate Amphidinium carterae (Hulburt, 1957) by the polychaete Sabella spallanzanii (Gmelin, 1791) has been evaluated. Our results evidenced the capacity of the polychaete to remove the microalga from the surrounding environment confirming the potential role of the polychaete as "bioremediator" already precedently assessed for bacteria.
