The seismic events occurred in Italy in 2009 (Abruzzo) and in 2012 (Emilia Romagna) have highlighted the need to have a digital documentation of the historic buildings that can be easily transmitted. This platform could then constitute a database for damage recognition and the subsequent planning of interventions. During natural disasters, in fact, archival documents are difficult to find and sometimes unusable, while the digital tools would permit to store a wide variety of heterogeneous data, they can be duplicated in order to prevent their loss. Here we present an expedited documentation system that supports both damage recognition activities and planning of 'reconstruction' interventions in historical centers. The procedure outlined in the paper is based on a digital photogrammetric survey carried out with the 'Structure from Motion' (SfM) technique, which allows to obtain textured and scaled meshes, similar to what attainable with more complex techniques.

Abstract
The procedure outlined in the paper is based on a digital photogrammetric survey carried out with the 'Structure from Motion' (SfM) technique, which allows to obtain textured and scaled meshes, similar to what attainable with more complex techniques.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
