In this report the details concerning the design and the instrumentation of the 1:4 model to be used for the IXV-TASI tests are presented. Test conditions are essentially those specified in the request document ACQT/VG/10/0577, dated 2 July 2010 (INSEAN Prot. 356, 2 July 2010). Additional information concerning with the geometry of the model and mass characteristics were received by email messages and/or by electronic files. The main aspects of the design process are summarised here, along with some key decisions which were taken in order to achieve the best accuracy in all impact conditions/attitudes. The technical characteristics of instrumentation are provided as well.
