Chukhrovit-(Ca), Ca4.5Al2(SO4)F13 ?12H2O, ist die Ca-dominante, von der IMA als eigenständiges Mineral anerkannte Spezie der Chukhrovit- Gruppe. Typlokalität ist die seit langem aufgelassene Pb-Zn-(Ag)- Mine Val Cavallizza, Cuasso al Monte, Provinz Varese, Lombardei, Italien. Niedrige Temperaturen bei einer hydrothermalen Kristallisation haben die sprödbrüchige Kristallbildung des neuen Minerals in einem Markasite und REE-haltige Fluorite führenden Gang bestimmt. Als assoziierte Mineralien wurden Anglesit, Baryt, Fluorit, Galenit, Gips, Jarosit, Markasit, Sphalerit und Schwefel analysiert. Das neue Calcium-Aluminium-Fluorid bildet weißlich-farblos-transparente, oktaedrische Kristalle bis zu einem Durchmesser von 150 ?m. Der "single-crystal unit-cell parameter" a = 16.749(1) Å.
