In this work we reported on the preparation by melt blending and on the characterization of a series of eco-composites containing wool (WFs) or hemp (HFs) fibres and polypropylene (PP) or biodegradable polyesters as matrices. In particular, different amounts of WFs were added, and several pre-treatments or chemical modification were also developed. The use of adhesion promoters, such as maleinized PP, was investigated for PP-based composites.
