Abstract
Bioactive glass compositions were prepared with the aim of obtaining a good vitreous coating for the AISI 316L steel, used in surgical applications. To determine the most suitable composition and the mechanism of adhesion between the glass and the metal, thermal expansion coefficient, Young's modulus, and tensile strength were measured. These data are compared with others and related to the chemical compositions of the glasses.File in questo prodotto:
