Two clones of Leccino (Minerva and Dwarf, LM and LD) were compared in relation to different level of light to evaluate their dwarfing capacity. Different level of light did not induced differences on leaf water status and water use efficiency (iWUE) of two different clones but the shading increased photosynthetic capacity of LD that was reduced in natural light compared with LM. The modest vegetative vigour due to lower photosynthetic capacity in LD can be an optimal solution for use this clone as rootstock in olive.

Abstract
Two clones of Leccino (Minerva and Dwarf, LM and LD) were compared in relation to different level of light to evaluate their dwarfing capacity. Different level of light did not induced differences on leaf water status and water use efficiency (iWUE) of two different clones but the shading increased photosynthetic capacity of LD that was reduced in natural light compared with LM. The modest vegetative vigour due to lower photosynthetic capacity in LD can be an optimal solution for use this clone as rootstock in olive.File in questo prodotto:
