This paper reports some results on the emission performance of an advanced CR DI diesel engine burning twelve model diesel fuels. The experiments are part of the co-operative research program NeDeNeF (New Diesel Engines and New Diesel Fuels), partially sponsored by the Commission of European Communities. Partners of the project with Istituto Motori were: FEV (Germany), VTT (Finland), NTUA (Greece), Brunel University (UK), Fortum (Finland), LAT (Greece) under the coordination of the IFP (France). The aim of the research was the study of the influence of different advanced diesel fuels on pollutant emissions of the modern DI diesel engines. In fact, due to the new fuel specifications for 2005, an investigation about the contribution of the modern fuel production technology to the future emission regulations approach seems very helpful.

Abstract
In fact, due to the new fuel specifications for 2005, an investigation about the contribution of the modern fuel production technology to the future emission regulations approach seems very helpful.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
