La cavalleria a Castell de Càller nella seconda metà del Trecento. Costruzione di un'élite urbana attraverso un'indagine miscrostorica.

The present study aims to rebuild the organization and the characteristics of chivalry, a urban élite, particularly influential in the Cagliari community during the late Middle Ages, as a social group delegated to the control and protection of the fortress of Castell de Caller, the capital of Catalan-Aragonese Regnum Sardiniae. In the articulated social environment that animated the Sardinian town between the fourteenth and fifteenth century, chivalry had a well-defined and irreplaceable role, belonging to characters considered paradigmatic for their biography and the social role assumed in the local community.

Il presente studio mira a ricostruire l'organizzazione e le peculiarità di un'élite urbana, la cavalleria, particolarmente autorevole nella comunità cagliaritana del tardo Medioevo, in quanto gruppo sociale delegato al controllo e alla salvaguardia della fortezza di Castell de Càller, ca-pitale del Regnum Sardiniae catalano-aragonese. Nell'articolato tessuto sociale che animava la città sarda tra XIV e XV secolo, la cavalleria costituiva un ordine ben definito e insostituibile, del quale facevano parte personaggi ritenuti paradigmatici per il loro profilo biografico e il ruolo sociale assunto nella comunità cittadina.
