Examen des adverbes de lieu traçant la topographie de l'oeuvre de Léon-Gontran Damas. « Ici » et « là-bas » sont connotés par une instabilité sémantique, qui ne peut être corrigée que par des données circonstancielles que l'écriture ne donne pas toujours de façon nette. L'analyse permet de s'interroger sur la relation entre « habiter » et « élire sa propre demeure », ce qui est un point crucial de l'oeuvre de Damas.
