Intercalation compounds such as zinc and cadmium diamines complexes intercalated into the inorganic layered ion-exchanger gamma-zirconium phosphate have been synthesized and characterized. The diamine content intercalated inside the host matrix depends on the ligand size; the complexes "in situ" formed depend on the metal ion exchanged. Only in the case of the 2,2'-bipyridyl amine, after cation exchange with Zn and Cd, is an increase of the interlayer distance observed and an energy variations from the IR measurements. All the prepared materials maintained thermal stability up to about 400 degrees C. At a higher temperature combustion of the complexes occurs depending on the ligand size.

Abstract
At a higher temperature combustion of the complexes occurs depending on the ligand size.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
