Abstract

The magnetization reversal process in the Fe/FeOxide granular system—consisting of Fe nanoparticles embedded in a poorly crystallized oxide matrix—has been investigated at 5dKTd250K by the remanence curve technique. The analysis of the thermal and field dependence of the isothermal and demagnetized remanence curves confirms and supports the progressive freezing of the system towards a cluster-glass-like state.
