We report the measurement of the absolute photoionization cross section of the Rb View the MathML source state at the wavelength of 4765 Å. The utilized technique involves the change of filling rate of a magneto-optical trap induced by the presence of a photoionizing laser. The measured value is ?PI = 1.48 (22) × 10-17cm2
