In this chapter some applications of electrochemical-SERS (EC-SERS) are reviewed, highlighting how potential-dependent surface spectroscopy can provide access to important information on chemical bonding, orientation and the electrochemical reaction of molecules at electrode surfaces. Such studies continue to lead to a much-enhanced understanding of interfacial structure and the mechanism of electrode reactions. The fundamental aspects of SERS are provided in Chapter 7.
