Abstract

A new combined method using two methodologies in one test (i.e. the pendant drop and sessile drop) by an advanced experimental complex that has been designed for investigations of high temperature capillarity phenomena, is presented. The surface tension data obtained by the application of a such new procedure on pure metals are presented here and discussed in the framework of the available literature data in order to confirm the alidity of the new procedure proposed. © 2011 Old City Publishing, Inc.
